Tweeter phase

Would wiring my tweeters out of phase help the tonality of my system?

Right now they are attenuated in phase, I like them unattenuated in phase for the clarity, except the tone was a bit rough. Attenuating them didn't change that all that much. I've see some crossovers have phase switches for tweets and heard that some crossovers flip the phase.

Try it and see, I'm in that process of phasing everything now. I ended up with both tweets in phase, and only the passenger mid out. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Both the 6.5 mids and the tweets are in qlogic kick panels. I'm not really sure what PLD is could you help?

Thanks for the responses

Path length discrepancy...essentially how far apart each side is from your ears. I'm just curious if you need phasing or time allignment.

Generally the further the tweets are from the mids, the more out of phase they will become. So if they are right next to each other, then I would think they would sound best in phase because the sound waves are hitting your ears at the same time.
