Tweeter mounting location - opinions?

Alrighty guys I would like your opinion on where you think I should mount my new tweeters. Below are pics of my door panel, courtesy of SubieLegacy04 on NASIOC and binjoau on clubwrx.net. As you can see, binjoau put them very close to the woofers, near where your shins would be, with the philosophy of closer to the woofer = better. This guy owns a shop and says the sound is excellent, but some people were concerned that knees would obstruct the sound, stuff could get into the tweeter... etc.

I like this idea very much for a mounting location, but am a little concerned about the knee thing. And I have read countless times that the "stage" should sound like there are little musicians on the dash... the two philosophies conflict.

Looking at these pics, what are your guys'/girls' thoughts on a good spot for the tweeters? I removed the sailpanel (stock location) and there is no way the new one could fit in there.

I think that is probably one of the best setups your going to get without going to kick panel enclosures

You can also make pods for your tweeters and place them on pillar or dash, firing however you want.

Yeah that looks super clean- hrm.

If you guys had a choice, would you put em on the dash like the Yaris or by the woofer like on the WRX?

and what is the best or most commonly used tool for making the hole for a flush mount?

It depends on what type of material you are going to be cutting into, if its just the plastic type stuff most interiors use, I would use a hole saw, then lightly sand away any flakes that rise up
