Tweeter Issue

Just did an install in my friends Tc. The front left tweeter whenever turned on makes a crazy high pitched noise.

The car currently has no rear speakers and the speakers up front are Infinity 60.9 CS kappas, running off MB Quart 4x50. I really don't know what's up, have tried changing the RCAs around, speaker wiring etc. It seems to only happen when the tweeter is hooked up to the crossover. Any input is appreciated.

Thanks

Is it a high pitched noise that is not in the source material you play, or is it a peak/resonance of some sort that is triggered by some frequency in the music? If the former, does it happen even when the H/U is muted or otherwise not playing anything? Is it only on that one channel? Did it change at all when you moved the RCAs and/or speaker wires? Have you made sure that none of your speaker wires are shorting to ground and that the DC resistance of the tweeter is correct?

It happens when music is played.... does it on all channels of the HU, the mid range plays just fine its just the tweeter that acts up when the system is turned on. All connections checked, gonna do some more test runs on it this weekend. Unsure on how to check the DC, but I ran these speakers in my car then sold them to a friend, shouldnt be any change outside of a different HU.

Thanks
