Tweeter advice: DLS/Focal/Alpine X, /A/D/S, SEAS, Boston

hi: I am upgrading a 92 mazda miata

and I need advice on tweeters

I am considering DLS/ Focal/A/D/S high end polks/bostons? seas?

I listen to a lot of mid bass music and hate bright sounding tweets/

i have a CDT soundstage but they pretty tinny right now..

In my jeep I have a rainbow slx component set front and back and I love the tweets

but I can't find just tweets for rainbows..only components sets

So I am considering other (old school ADS/ DLS) trying to keep it at the killer deal stage in terms of budget..

So: my concrete question is what is the best tweet for imaging/ not bright/ and can handle mid bass type of music w/out distortion..?

I love dynaudios but pricey..are SEAS bright? Morels?

It is run with an execlon deck with 24 bit dac/ and a jl mono sub with jl 8" sub and two 4 inch speakers in head rest: old school polks and boston..

You CAN buy just tweeters from a Rainbow dealer, if that's what you want.

Cool: I will give it a shot.

What dealers would you recommend.

Also: are you familiar with SEAS silk dome tweeters? Madisound has them for less than 30 dollars each?

The Seas metal domes behave like silks, and they're a very nice tweeter. The fabrics are very nice as well, but need to be pretty much on-axis for the best results.

As for a dealer for Rainbow, talk to 6spdcoupe (aka Don). Fantastic guy to deal with.
