tweet to match dayton rs180

Absolutely not on the LPGs. They are an outstanding tweeter, but when played below 3000 hz (even with a steep slope) they are just plain nasty.

The Seas Neo tweeter can play 2000 hz with a 24 db slope. With an 18 db slope you can get about 2200 hz out of them. They're cheap at $28.00, sound great, and come in either silk or aluminum. The aluminum is becoming a favorite for many as there seems to be no harshness normally associated with aluminum.

Basically no downside to these tweets.

Any other option will either cost quite a bit more, or you can go with a large format tweeter.

All of the home speaker builder use either the Dayton RS28 or the Seas 27tdfc to pair with the rs180. Go to htguide.com and look at some of the diy home speaker designs. The all run high end passive crossover designs but you can see where they cross and other info. Very technical but well worth the research.
