Turn your old iPhone in to a Ipod touch?

Any one know how to or got a link how to turn your old iPhone 2g in to a iPod so it still works once att cuts it off as I am upgrading to the iPhone 4 and just want to use it as a little iPod..

Any idea what to do with it?

uh it will still work but wont get signal because in essence its an ipod

Really? When my service got shut off as I forgot to make a payment the phone would no longer boot as long as I did not have service. I just wanted to make sure as I am getting the new one final and it works great as ipod.. lol

it wouldnt boot? are you sure it wasnt dead you can take the sim out and it still works im pretty positive.

your service shouldnt make your phone work or not work

you cant connect to the at&t network....but maybe wifi???

did you try to load an app that needs the internet?
