Tuning with aero's

Okay i know i have seen this all over here but I'm confused. I'm going to be using a box that will have 4.8volume for one 15, will that be enough? I want to use aero ports and tune it to 40hz. If I can use 4" flared ports than that is what I'm planning to use so what would I cut them to to get this?
