what happens if you where to tune a box to low for your subs?

for example my 4 RE8's what would be the lowest that i could tune it to in a 2ft^3 enclosure?

i meant whats the lowets tuning with out hurting the subs? i mean pure SPL

over 35hz I suggest a subsonic filter

the enclosure tuning can damage your sub(s) under that frequency...

well, a lower tune generally isn't the best for SPL, as it provides a flatter response...you probably wouldn't want to go under 40 Hz.
