tuning sub from HU?

i am getting my first system soon and was woundering if i have my subs connected to a amp i connect to amp to the pre outs on the HU so do i tune the HPF and LPF and SSF for the sub on the hu or are those on the amp and i set the ones on the HU for the 6 x 9s? any info on any thing related to this and tuning a systme would be great thanks thinking of getting a pioneer DEH-P480MP

First, try some punctuation, capitalization, and formatting.

Second, it all depends on what flexability you need. How many amps are you running? How many channels are they? Are you running all of your speakers off of amps, or will some run off of the HU?

ah sorry about grammer i try to type to fast.

i am going to be running 1 or 2 amps one mon for 2 type r's and then probley 2 6 x 9 and maybe at some time 2 more speakers off probley a 4 channle amp. is 2 pairs of speakers to 1 amp 1 pre out? thanks
