tuning my JL amp

I recently installed a full system in my car however I want to tune my 4 channel amp for the speakers correctly without overpowering them and blowing them or something.

My amp is a XD400/4

My door speakers and rear speakers are both JL TR which run at 50rms

my current settings have the amp at 50 filter freq. (hz) and filter mode is off

should this be fine or does it need to be modified?

thanks

Get ahold of a SMD DD-1 to tune your system. It is the easiest way and reasonably priced. For your 4 channel amp you want to set your HPF on and set it to around 80hz. Right now it looks like your amp is set to full range which may damage your speakers if you have not tuned the amp yet

filter mode off, and its set to 50? set it to high pass, and at the lowest i would set it to 65hz

I would think 50 is way to low for those speakers. Filter mode off mean you are just letting them run full range all the way down. Set it to hp and I try 80 or 100 to start (not sure what your amp has on its settings.)
