Tuning Help

I have a Kicker CVT 12 and a Rockford Fosgate Punch 700 amp. Previously I had the Punch pushing a Kicker L5 10, and the amp was tuned to it. Do I need to retune at all with the swapping of the CVT 12? The enclosure is sealed and points directly down into the floor of the truck. I would say there is about an inch inbetween the sub face and the carpeted floor. Which raises another question, what is the excursion length of the CVT 12, Im trying to avoid having it slap the floor although I had it cranked up and havnt heard anything. Any help would be great.

You're not going to be slapping the floor with your sub if it's an inch away from the carpet. I would always at least adjust the gain when changing the subwoofer. You might also want to try changing the low pass filter and test to hear which setting sounds best.
