tuning adjusment???

Can anybody tell me in inches how much longer the port would have to be to achieve higher tuning?currently I have a 2.5 cubic ft box tuned to 32hz and I am planning on building an identical box but want to tune it to around 36hz.keeping everything the same i'm guessing just adding a few more inches to the current port length should do it,but not so sure on how many.thanks

Port will be shorter not longer if your wanting to tune hiegher

I'd remove sub and try to cut off a few inches instead of rebuilding.
