tunin on HU help on X889

Sup guys...

i have a Kenwood X889 HU. (Love this HU)and i was wonderin if anyone on this

board has one, because i am haven a really hard time tunen my front stage with

the EQ (band 1, band 2, band 3, band 4).. i have BA pro 6.5 and a jl 300/2

powering them. It sound great but its not what i want. I listen to rap and techno

50/50 of the time.. and with the techno the highs sound great but when i listen to

rap the highs at really that noticable in most sounds...i love the components and

all but i no it could sound alot better.. the vocals. midbass sound great but the

highs just need to work on....so much help would be great..

EQ's can only go so far, the installation of the speakers will make a big difference in the way they sound.

How and where are the speakers installed?.

i have a 03 suzuki vitara and it mid is in the door. i did use dome damping on them..and the tweeters are on the top of the piller at in angle.....

You could try crossing them over at a higher frequency that will make the highs seem brighter.
