I assume you can do that to about any sub. Why would you buy an SPL sub and then tune it for SQL/SQ?

I just played with a pair of the 12's. I put a soundstream 6500 on each sub and can't even move it properly. That beast requires a ton of power. It's almost impossible to run it in street class. I'll post some pics soon.

Scott Owens was using 9 5000spl's and 32-36 amps hit a 180.3 or sumthing like that

very beasty woofer. scott had 9 5000spl 12's,36 fosgate bd1500's,ohio gen alts, and 72 turbo start batteries. 4 bd 1500's to each woofer which was 6000+ rms. when these woofers are ported low they are low end monsters. and pretty d*mn accurate for an spl woofer.
