Trying to tune in my ID ctx comps....need help...pics

anywya i only skimmed your post before but you're saaying how one mid is louder than the other, one tweeter is louder.. ect.. welcome to the world of car audio.. you can never get it *perfect* usually cause of where you sit...
the best thing i can recommend is either one 30 channel EQ (which is what id id) or if i did it over again i would get two 15 channel eq's for each side... or evne better two 30 channels.. get a mic.. rta software (i use true RTA) and a laptop.. have fun =]

it will make a world of difference
do you think the fact that I bridged the amp too, that that is hurting me with tuning, cus thats what I'm thinking

no, and i eidtted my last post, plz read again fi you didnt see it, you're sure every speaker is playing tho right?

if so you either got a case of one set of speakers being more efficient or recieving more power.. or cancelation/path issues

they're probaly just mroe efficient... wire a resistor in series with them if you need to turn down the coax's.. if you cant control them individually
yeah I need my highs and mids loud tho to keep up with my subs....I hear the ID's comps should get plenty loud, which they are not doin

let me guess the side that has no mid is the drivers side and the side with more tweet is the passenger side
no mid on passanger and some mid on passanger too....the only mid that seems to be workin on the drivers side, with highs comin out too. The drivers tweet dont work

use a battery to make sure everything is wired in phase.. and losing that tweet on the drivers side will lose you alot when trying to keep up with the subs

please explain....just use a 9 volt and test right? burp em? even the tweet? And how would they get out of phase, or how do I know?

y u runnin passive with all them channels and a 880
front output to tweet rear output to mid
cuz I'm a noob to active...I'm pretty sure the ppi is ready for active...but I'm not much into tuning...

but if ya could break it down what to I may try it...link?

and I'm still learing the 880....my 6800 was soo easy to use:laugh:

what do you mean switched? Should I take my hu out and make sure the rca's match up?
and could ya give me some help on tuning the amp, and what the hu should be.

there is a pic of the amp above...thanks for all this help

if your running the passives the only thing you really have to worry about on the amp is the gain control. when i said switched i mean make sure the wires coming from the passives are going to the right speaker. and wired correctly. let's try this one thing at a time. take your sundown amp out of the equation and just wire up the ppi amp. make sure you have the amps xovers bypassed.

haha i think active is easier in a sense. You know for sure where the problem is. In your case something could be wrong with the passive crossover, your mids, your tweets, or your wires. Running active it seems like you can narrow down the possible problems quicker
