trying to learn about subs and amps before i actually buy any. help plz

Most of it depends on the box, I would recommend getting a sealed box to start with. I mainly started with memphis. It was my first loud set up. But looking at the cheapest 12 off of those sites, I would go with either MB quart, crunch, powerbass, or kicker. If it were me.

For those. They say 500 rms, so you would want to find an amp that will do 1000 watts rms @ 1 ohms.

But i'm sure you can get away with a smaller amp.

go somewhere else besides woofersetc. That's an expensive place to go shop online.
