Trying to join the marines

i never said it wasn't harder, it is, its a lot harder than army BCT, if you want to join the marines just to tell people or make them think your tough because your a marine, go ahead, its the wrong thing to do, but if thats what your heart desires, then do it.

that would be disrespect to say that the only reason i joined the marines was to be tough the reason why is because i want to defend my country in any sort of way i want to because i believe this is the best **** country in the world and i always believed that since i was small

if you want to serve your country in any way you want to then why did you join the only branch that can change your job FOR YOU during a time of war? If you wanted to be infantry in the army, you would just have to tell them. if you wanted to be a laundry room manager, all you would have to do is tell them and qualify for it.

You can still serve your country in any branch you choose, i'm not taking that away from you, just use common sense and do research next time.

as i said i have my own opinions about the army and the marines which not even my own mom can change let alone you if you are trying to join the army im going to try anything possible to still join the marines and i already have done research and if you are talking about the tattoos it said no gang related tattoos or none above your neck / below your elbows which i have all my tattoos hidden and i have no gang related ones, they just got through making the brass knuckle gang related tattoos this year which are for white people and im not even white that is the only reason why they dont want to accept me

The majority dont want us there, and that county has been ****ed up way before we came over to "HELP". We have major issues in our own country that need to be addressed and yet we spend BILLIONS of dollars attempting to fix another country that pretty much hates Westerners and their way of life. I applaud you guys for serving our county but this shit is ridiculous those people have been killing each other for a very long time and they will continue to kill each other long after we leave.

I've been to a couple of bases that had Marine, Navy, and Army trainee's and from what they tell me the Air Force is much more spoiled, and we do get treated alot better.

Plus the fact you can walk up and have a conversation with a Master Sargent like any other person and not have to stand at parade rest or say "sir," at the start and end of every sentence. Officers are a different story all together, but atleast the enlisted treat eachother with respect.

You went civilian again? How does the pay compare to all the benefits you were getting...? I want to get out at the end of my enlistment but its like a trap, free food, housing, health care, even clothing allowance, and then pay ontop of that...
