trying to get 150dB daily

p.s. bigger box doesnt always win. one of my best sounding/loudest designs ive had in a while used an SMALL box i could do hair tricks with 2 15's using only an kicker 2500.1 box was 5 cubes @ 30hz. 2 memphis m3 15's did 48's all day long kicker was @ .5 ohms had an birthsheet of 2990 so after rise and voltage drop id say i had around 3000rms

I thought i recognized the car in your sig from somehwere..........btw nice setup
Thank you.

BTW, I can do 150 dB playing music. I actually peaked a 150.1 playing Shania Twain once.

It's not too hard if you have the right equipment and a rock solid box.

this was my first try wth a single 15 in 4.6 cubes tuned to 32 hz, did a 145 , of a vfl 150.1 at 2 ohm so bout 900 watts,, ontop of a false floor

next i took out the port n sealed it off and added my 2nd treo ssi 15 d4 to get down to 1 ohm and 1500 watts rms total,

no pic cuz its the same as box one just with another sub in box right next to it

then i decided to go ported and did 7.3 tuned to 35, called treo for port size so it not a b.s. port

Stepyour game up. Upgrade to 16 volts
Why would you say that? He cant get it to do it on 12 volts, what makes you think just swappn out some batteries is going to make such a difference ??

oh yeah,..... its not. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I can clearly see what the problem is.... poor port design //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif It needs to be firing backwards and getting gain off your rear door. Also, a little more of a "flowing" port design would help too, I can see all sorts of aerodynamic impedences (rough edges, non-filled corners). Some more bracing would probably help too, and some resin wouldnt hurt either.

box fits pretty well and leaves room on sides for groceries, beer , chopped up bodies, whatever.

theres a brace goin left to right , right infront of the second layer of baffle

i tried it with out the brace, and the baffle seriously moved as much as a midrange speaker, it would hit up my hand as if i was placin it on a speaker, so when i put the brace i gained 3 db,

and gon from sealed to ported all in all sadly i only gained 1 db, wich im not very happy with,,

the loudest frequency is 42-44 hz i realy wanna get 2 more db to hit the 150,, then later on edit or get new system that hiits 150 and allso gets lows unlike how it does now

yeah when idle im on bout 13 volts,

then bass hits and goes down to 12

then rev up to 2000rpms and it stays at 12.8 Volts

so i gues alt and bat are okay

You can improve that port design greatly. Do a horizontal slot port firing back or a few round flared ports firing back. Get at least 2 layers on the baffle to beef it up.

what if i rounded the corners in the box? , i dont think id realy see any results just by doin that
Not really, Your port design is really limiting airflow. Rounding the inside of the box could possibly hurt you with a port that chokes airflow.

ha ouch that hurt, is it limiting airflow cuz on sub is almost infront of the port with a direct path and the other sub is behind the wal of the port?
