I believe it's a rockford bd1000 the serial number is scratched off.

I want the cover piece that covers up where the wires go obviously.

I believe he meant model number..

And just make one out of some metal. Street signs work well for fabrication of stuff like that. Solid thick aluminium. Yout city may have some old ones you can get, or maybe a friend has one lying around.

I can think of one reason

it's probably stolen. I paid 300$ for it at the pawn shop.

edit: the model number & serial are scratched off. I only have part of either number.
