Trying to figure out how to wire a HU and DVD receiver

Im trying to figure out how to wire a HU to play my cds and a DVD receiver at the same time so that both of them run to my amps by using a switch. that would be easy assuming both my receivers have 3 RCA outs...however the dvd has 3(sub,rear,front) and the other HU only has one rca preout. How should I do this so i can have audio running to my amps using either HU?

Does this make sense? if not ill try and explain better

Does the head unit have an AUX input? If so, that's by far your best option; just run the DVD into the CD head unit as an auxillary source.

The DVD receiver has 3 aux inputs for video/audio sources and then inputs to hook up a cd changer...could i just take the Preouts from the HU and run it into one of the video aux inputs on the dvd receiver brain? would that sound okay?

yes, or you can pick up a component selector dealy from BB or CC, most will have a yellow input too for video, just dont use that one... And on the DVD outputs, just use either the front or rear output, thy will both output fullrange signals.
