I bought a 36 sqft bulk pack of dynamat when I did the full install on my car...I would say that I used about 10-15 of that in the trunk, and the rest in the 2 front doors.
I am about to buy another bulk pack, put 60% of that in my trunk and more into my doors.(when I take the panels off I will remember how much I put on.)
But only on certain songs I get freakin rattles in the back of my car... I havnt had much time to determine exactly where it comin from... but I believe its back where the speakers sit in my 92 civic. Im only running 2 Type S's 600RMS total in a sealed enclosure...So the bass blends in nicely and all... but sometimes I just get annoyed by the rattles(again only on certain songs)
Also the speakers I have in the rear fill are SPR-17LP's Alpine coaxes....I have them powered on my amp.. Im going to just run them off HU, Bridge the amp and run my Rainbows Active to the 9887 soon...But the carpet cover ontop where the speakers lay...the speaker fire upward and hits right into that sound absorbing crap and eliminates the sound...I dont want to make holes in it but I know it would sound so much better if I had the speaker firing up in the open and not into carpet stuff.
Does anyone have any experience in the older generation civic(92-95)... to give me any things to look out for as far as certain spots to dynamat in the trunk.
By the end of the 72 sqft in my car(36 in their now) I want to have like 15-20 in each door and the rest in the trunk.
