Should i tie my alpine type r's to my hifonics 1606d amp @1ohm? This would create maximim strength and loudness for what i have right?

um ya you will get the most power out of that amp at 1 ohm. i have mine( 2 alpine R at 1 ohm) on a hifonics 2008d at 1 ohm.

ya they hit hard. they dont sound to bad. but i mean i was not looking for sound quality when i pick to use these subs.

What are the pros and cons? What were you looking for? I personally listen to rap and am looking for good bass. Hope they hit hard, got to get the right size box. Is your ported/vented?

well i was looking for subs that will get loud for a budget price and i think they type Rs do just that. i also listen to rap and gets loud. i had a local guy build me box 4.0 cubes to 33hz. so yes its ported.

the only point in subs is sq or to be loud...he didnt get them for sq so he got them to be loud
