just as the title says i am looking to do a build but dont know witch way i should go i want it to do good in spl comps but be very loud to street beat as well i dont need anyone suggesting any other subs i have the dds already but would still need to buy the powerbass subs they are in my price range and i loved my 12 inch 3xl subs so what do you all think i should do.

currently i am running 3 american bass 12" HDs off one powerbass xa3000d i have 3 2400 kinetiks stock alt also have a second powerbass xa3000d but it is not hooked up at the moment i would be using both in this install working on getting a 320amp alt i also have 2 old school phoenix gold 500.4s on my mids and highs that will be in the new build as well.

is that how it works? so if i was to choose lets say 6 tens or 3 twelves, whichever set has a cone area higher than the other will hit harder? or is that just a guess?
in general.... most times... there are alot of other factors that come into play, but as a generality, cone area will get you louder

hmm, well i learned something fairly new, now for a question id like answered for my own reference, one 15 would hit harder than 2 twelves? or no, my set is dual 12s, i kinda broke a set yesterday (450w IMPP's) cause i got stressed, and had to replace it with a set that for some reason doesnt hit as hard so im just guna upgrade to 15s, but would one 15 show a difference from two twelves?

once again... no real definitve answer that applies to all set ups... it has alot to do with the type of subs, efficiency of your box, and even the type of car you put it in.

but, if you are actually running "dual" brand subs... that right there is your problem, my friend
