trunk still rattles

I installed AudioTechnix 80 mil deadener in my trunk but i still hear it rattling. Is there a way to fix that

turn your bass down.. lol.

sound deadener doesnt always get rid of every rattle, find out where it is, and try adding foam to the area or whatever you can do, or maybe try adding more deadener. maybe you should of spray foamed the trunk holes, and sheet metaled them or something before deadening

You have to track down rattles like that. It's usually like a clip on a taillight, your license plate, some spoiler piece.

if your trunk is 2 pieces, great stuff inbetween the panels helps a **** ton. i put weather stripping around the trunk lid and behind the tail lights as well.

Mine only comes from the latch. All the deadener in the world isn't going to help a rattle at the connection between the trunk lid and body.

I wrap a layer or two of electrical tape around the latch loop. Resolves that rattle. Lasts a few months then you replace.

You can adjust the trunk latch on most cars.
