Trunk car sub positions

My friends are telling me to move my subs out from my trunk..they claim it will be louder. They also claim that when they fold down their back seat or the little console part of their back seat, so their trunk is exposed to the cab, it is louder. They have kicker equipment so idk...

Im thinking about putting mine right behind the driver/passenger seats, facing foward. Im going to try out different ways...

x2 Thats the way I found is loudest for me, Except the seat part. I just ripped it out and shoved batteries and am amp there instead.

Seats down, yes. depending on box size and how much it blocks air flow to your cab you may want to flip to the front. But never put it in your backseat. Sorry but that would sound terrible. I found my stuff is louder in the trunk, than when i even had it sealed at the back seats as a "half wall" type deal. I put it in the trunk with the back seat folded down. I couldnt push it all the way to the back of the trunk. There is like a foot in total length behind the box to the end of the car. It sounds waaay better on some notes and waaay less "louder" on other notes. It makes my lows/mids sound great, but the highs just ****...

i think you could've easily went to your trunk, try it out, and then this dumbass thread would not have existed.
