Truly 100% digital signal from iPhone to DSP (not Bluetooth, AirPlay, or CarPlay)

I just had my amp rack, power cables, and headunit upgraded.

It is now 100% digital from iPhone until it exits my DSP. I hate un-necessary DA/AD conversions. This whole system is basically a work-around to avoid that. It is sad that no newer headunit that I know of has digital optical out (or I would have gone that route!). Also, CARPLAY does not allow you to use HDMI, or I would have gone that route too.

Here is my layout:

Here's my new 0/1 gauge power and ground wire plus "Big 3" (alternator/engine/chassis):

Here's my subwoofer box and amp rack. I had a lot of cooling problems last year so hopefully the fans help with that this summer. They are nice and silent. I'm getting a lot of light leakage through the carpet so will paint the underside black later (except the cutouts for the designs). My sub box is too big so need to fix that. I'm considering making custom fiberglass enclosures on each side of the trunk, similar to the JL Audio Stealthbox. That way I'd be able to use my trunk and put the seats down without messing with the subwoofer box.

Here's a peak under the trunk lid, where you can see my amps, DSP, and a lot of wiring and red LEDs:

Here's a crappy night pic of the new 7" monitor in the dash (with custom fiberglass surround), which mirrors anything on my iPhone's screen. You can also see my Boston tweeters sitting on the factory dash grills. This summer I'm making door panels for my speakers. I believe I get comb filtering and phase issues from the mid/highs because the sound bounces off the plastic dash & windshield. I want them closer to the kick panels, with all speakers on the same plane pointing at my sunroof. I'll probably swap to ES-04 4" midranges, ES-02 wideband tweeters, and ES-6 midbass speakers. You can also see the hard wired mirror-mount for my radar detector (which also serves as a volt gauge when I'm not getting radared by the cops).

It is crazy super loud, and with 1,800 watts RMS the volt gauge never even dips below 14v. I like that!

I do not have FM/AM, CD, or DVD anymore. I never used that anyways. The iPhone pretty much renders that stuff obsolete. I can still listen to radio using the IHeartRadio app, and just rip DVDs or watch YouTube if I want. Most of my music is ripped in Apple Lossless.

I have a wired remote for volume/bass control next to my shifter. It works great but I wish I could figure out how to get the steering wheel controls to work with this set-up. If you know how, let me know!! I'm looking at a device called SteerBlue but it is like $300 and I'm not even sure it would work.
