Trucks gone...wrx is here

So where did you go today to eat up some miles? Happen to go on the route I suggested??
Was going to but my ambition was running kind of low so I just took a cruise out to Ft Morgan, grabbed some grub then headed back on hwy 52 and 85. Got the car up to 500 miles and hit about 5,000 bugs out east. They were having some kind of model T run on 34 out east so that was cool to drive by. Must have been around 20 model T's out there.

Might have to take that wildlife reserve trip next weekend as long as the 4th of july traffic doesn't ****. Wish I woulda known about that when I was already up there a few days ago.

Silver is the best color for keeping it clean looking.. mine can be dirty as shit but unless there is actual chunks of stuff you can't tell unless you are right on it
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/word.gif.64b12e39f936af3b4fff38a1c0bd0244.gif My truck is that GM pewter metallic so it's silver with a flash of champagne in it. Basically it never looks dirty unless you run your finger over it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif It always amazes me how good it looks after I wash it though.

One of my favorite things about this car, my last two rides had molex's in the doors, this just has the good ol' easy rubber boot! When I go to do door speakers it will be much easier than the last two times I've done it.

That's nice //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif My truck just has a rubber boot, as well. What do you mean molex? Was there a separate plug in the door and the body?

yup, the plug that goes from the door harness into the body, like this:

My mustang and f150 both had them, ford can kiss my ***. I was pretty happy to not see one in this ride.

fuckbeans, I just took another look and it does have molex's under the boot, damnit!

well its official, I **** at keeping stuff stock. Just ordered perrin's stage 2 kit, they had a good sale goin. May not install it for awhile though as it will be a for sure warranty voider :/

Or as a birthday present to myself I may get a bigger pump and injectors and throw it all on with some e85 at the end of this month //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Was the car designed to run E85? If not, you may want to look into e85s effects on valve seals, etc. It can be very corrosive.

People have been running e85 in their subarus for years with no problems: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=803341
Methanol can be very corrosive, ethanol not as much
Folks run E85 on a lot of cars that weren't meant for the fuel. It doesn't mean they won't have problems later. As you were concerned with maintaining a new car, I thought this is something you may want to look into. If you're satisfied betting your investment on forum postings "based on current experience" (as per the link'd FAQ), without doing more thorough research, who am I to argue. Good luck.

Nobody has suggested that I'm the sharpest tool in the shed. That said there are real life situations with people running e85 and haven't suffered negative effects after tens of thousands of miles and many years of use. If I was truly worried about breaking stuff I probably wouldn't be willing to void a powertrain warranty so soon.

I don't drive the vehicle often but when I do I want it to be fun, to me certain risks are worth it.

I still need to peep your ride duece.
Sounds like you are like me. I did quite a bit of work to my Focus a few months after I owned it..... Thank god nothing major ever happend to it......they would have never covered it.
Like I said man, nothing special, find a pic of a stock silver wrx and it'll be a perfect match //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Same here man...warranties are cool, but I don't want that to hold me back from making the car what I want it to be to really enjoy it. Thats pretty obvious from my last two vehicles I bought new (mustang and truck.) Some day this will surely bite me in the *** and I will have a failure and have to pay out of pocket.

Sometimes to have fun you have to take risk, even if most people think its horribly stupid //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
