Truck rear window help

i had a problem with my seal messing up in my 93 so me and my dad took it out and resealed it GENEROUSLY...havent had problems....also is your the sliding glass or the solid?

If i was you i would take it our...reseal it....and silicone it ALL the way around.

Thanks for the tip. It is a solid rear window. I can easily push the window out 1/4'' along the bottom and when I listen to anything with a lot of bass it sounds terrible.

Could you point me in the direction of the type of sealant you're talking about? I thought about just filling that gap with expanding foam but I don't think that would work that well.

hmm, i dont know the name off hand...but when i installed the rear window in my el camino i went to the auto parts store. They had a tube of window sealant that gos in a caulk gun...i cant remember the name though. should be easy to find

Hmmm, is it a black goopy sealant? Sounds like what I used to seal the accordion boot for my blowthrough. I actually tried using that already to attach the window back to the frame. It didn't work since I didn't have anyone pushing on the window from the backside. I'll try it again with someone's help I guess. I just could see the bond breaking again somewhere down the road.
