Troubleshooting factory radio

Hi everyone. I have a factory radio in my 1995 jeep. It has four speakers, two in the front and two above my head in the soundbar. I just replaced my two speakers above my head in the soundbar, went to turn on the radio, heard a small pop, and now now noise coming out of any of the four speakers. The radio still turns on, but all I hear is a small pop sound when turning the radio on. No AM-FM speaker noise and no tape player speaker noise. I don't think it is the fuse because the radio turns on and I can select radio stations. I tried to unhooking the battery to reset the system, but that didn't fix the problem. Do you think the factory head unit is broken now? It doesn't make sense because all was well right before I changed out the speaker.

Thank you and sorry for long message.

If one of the speakers wires were grounding out, which I checked and it wasn't, wouldn't at least the front speakers work because I never touched them.

Also, what if the impedance was wrong, as in the new speakers were 4ohms, and maybe because I don't know because there was no printing on the old speakers, were 8ohms, would that cause all 4 speakers not to work?

Thanks

no, if one of the wires on the speakers grounds out you wont get any sound from any speakers. you may have accidentally put a screw through a wire or something.

do this, take out both those rear speakers and see if it plays.

if it does then put in one speaker at a time, while playing the radio.

if the music stops, you got the problem.
