I've had my amp for about 4 months; it's a Soundstream Van Gogh 800.5.
While driving today, listening at normal levels, the (1) connected speaker started emiting a crackling sound, and quickly self lowered the volume, and finally shut off. And that was that.
I can't get it to play anymore, nothing comes out. The power light is still on, but it's extremely faint compared to normal. I also smell something crispy inside the amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
The fuses are internal or something, because there is nothing on the outside. I'm unsure on how to get into the internals to see if the fuses are there and burnt, There are five screws on the top of the amp, but removing those didn't do anything. Anyone out there know how to get to the guts of a 800.5?
