Troubleshoot: Left speakers cutting out =( Please help!

I've had my new setup installed for about a week now.

Kenwood 348u HU

JBL p660c components up front

stock rears

JBL GTO1004 amp

It sounds great and up until 3 days ago it had no problems at all. But then I noticed the left speakers(not sure if this includes the rear speakers) cut out completely, I turned up the volume and the sound came back through the speakers 100%. It happened again today and so I fiddled with the volume again and the problem was fixed. I'm not sure if this is a coincidence but both times the speakers cut out it was at relatively low volume, turning up the volume slightly fixed the problem both times.

Another thing I should note is that I got the new parts installed in my car separately.. first I got the HU installed.. no problems with the stock speakers.. then I got the amp installed and hooked up to the stock speakers.. still no problems.. then I got the new Components installed up front and the problem didn't occur until about 5 days later and seems to be temporarily fixable via HU volume knob. Could it be that when they installed the components they left of one of the wires in the back of the HU slightly unplugged or something? Does anyone have any ideas what it could be?

Thank you very much for any time and thought you put into helping me here.

knee reflex is it sounds like a short with the component speaker wires. they could be nicked behind the HU or in the door. Sure, it could be loose. Only way to find out is to start pulling things out and inspect with DMM or get help. Almost everything you need to know disassembly wise can be found on youtube.

If your amp is driving all of your speakers, the next time it cuts out use the fade and balance to verify if it is just the front component that is acting up or it is one whole side. If it is just the component, you can narrow it down to either the wiring for that speaker or the speaker itself. If it is the whole side, you will need to check from the rca's at the hu back to see where the issue is on that side.
