Trouble with SIR-PNR2

Hi so I just successfully installed my Pioneer FH-P800BT and I bought an SIR-PNR2 used off of ebay. I'm assuming it's in good condition. Anyways the manual says after you hook everything up you should just hit the satellite selection button. Well I I pressed it and absolutely nothing changed at all on the faceplate. I have no idea if the sirius component is broken or what. I'm assuming I hooked up the power and everything correctly as I did it at the same time with my headunit and Y connected the power lines.

not familiar with that deck but when I hooked it up to my 6900 I just did power/ground to the sir-pnr2 and ran the buslink cable or whatever it is to the headunit. Switched the source to sirius and called them to activate...

Yeah my head unit isn't doing anything once I hit the sirius input (it's brand new) so I have no idea at all. I tried searching multiple forums, but I really haven't found much.

check make sure both plugs still connected to the sirus box

and the radio

might of got a bad unit but i dont see them failing very often

also check the inline fuse on the sirius unit power side

The BUS cable may be plugged to the wrong side of the box...with IPODS there are two bus plugs on the box with one you don't get sound...the other works fine...hopefully you'll get it figured out another thing that may help is resetting the unit...it may recognize then....

I replugged in everything last night a few times but still doesn't work. It's quite convenient though since my sirius is just sitting on my passenger seat lol. I suppose time to play with it a few more hours *ack*

maybe thats why the seller sold it used on ebay? I have one hooked up to my Kenwood deck with no probs...I need to get a pioneer adapter so I can change sirius in vehicles....

check fuse on the power wire that came with the unit ?

LOL so I checked the fuse and there's not fuse in it. It's not a stock fuse holder it's a JEF-307 (at least it's different from the manual's one) so I'm trying to figure out what fuse to drop into it.
