trouble with brahma's

I have been reading and saw that some people were having trouble with their brahma's and wanted to know if something was wrong with mine. I was building an amp rack yesterday and thought I would mess with my sub. I took the sub out and played it free air while it layed on its side. It kind of rattled when it was hitting. I wanted to know if it is not to late to send it back if something is wrong with it. I've had it for about 4 months. I was looking at the xxx and since it will sound just about the same but louder was going to get a refund and get the xxx.

those aren't free air subs man. why would you decide to just plop it on it's side and free air the thing?? i'd say your screwed especially if you ran it off that 8100D amp and were bumpin it than i'd say you prolly messed your brahma up.

Nice job man. Yea its prolly screwed but u might be able to have Adire fix it. Remount it and see if it still sounds messed up. Warentee still good??

yes i did take the cap off. When i mess with the gain it sounds like this tinsel slap you all are talking about. Whenever it hits real hard when I mess with the gain i back it off. And if I can't free air it then how am i supposed to break it in? But it sounded wierd whenever i had it reversed mounted in the box. I would like to know if I could just get a refund and get a good sub that noone is having trouble with.

You are supposed to free air it to break it in , However not to much power is recc when doing this . It wont hurt the sub solong as he didnt over power it while out of the box

You said you reverse mounted mounted the sub?? well if you did that you need to reverse the polarity of the wires to get it to sound right.
