trouble wiring my sub (the actual wire)

it seems every time i run a single d4 setup i have trouble getting the wires to fit in the vc plugs, the kind that are springloaded. im using 12 gauge btw, is that too big. my currnet setup is a 12" eclispe alum, old style. do yall braid yalls wires togehter or just stick one in then the other, or what? i can get them to fit kinda but its really tight.

which leads to my next question, hwo much of the exposedwire needs to be in the vc plug.

if the wire doesn't fit, use smaller wire. you don't need 12ga. just twist the wire and stick it in the hole. you don't need to braid it or do something fancy.

alright i guess ill have to buy some new wire. 12 gauge is just what ive always used.

just to clear this up, this sub is being ran in parallel, so im going to have to have two wires going in to one of the plugs for each + and -. im not just refering to one wire goign to each plug.
