Are we talking about viurses or spyware?? Because anti-virus programs will NEVER find spyware much less delete or quarantine it.

Yes you're right they are NOT the same thing. A virus scan will not identify spyware as a virus. On the flipside a spyware scan will not call out a virus, just spyware.

jmac....i just got a virus named bloodhound.exploit.6

I cant seem to delete it. Its windows/system32/report and it wont even delete it safe mode

I use a free virus detector from http://www.f-prot.com and it has found and deleted a bunch of spy ware on my computer.

Also look in your win.ini file to make sure there aren't any viruses running on startup (at the bottom all the way to the right).

ive read and still cant get this **** thing to go away. The only thing that annoying is norton popping up every couple mins saying virus found

I just goto http://www.spywareinfo.com/forums/index.php?showforum=30 and d/l programs "Hijack This" and "CWShredder" and post the log files over there and ask for help, and they tell you what to do!

Everyone watch out for a program called Softwar Update Manager. It acts and looks just like the MS Windows Automatic Updater, tells you it has a security update, then installs a shitload of spyware programs on your computer.
