Well, I've already been in a 3.5 year relationship. We were engaged to get married, then I realized that I gave up way to much just to be "that perfect guy" or try to make everything perfect for her. It just wasn't for me, and we mutually split up.
I learned a lot from that, and I'm not saying you're a loser. It was more of a joke, don't take it personal.

Cool. Just curious, does she support your car audio passion? Does she try to "work her way into it" so that she can understand it more? Does she just pass it off as a guy thing? I'm kind of interested on your relationship. My ex basically did not want me to pursue my dreams because she didn't agree with them. I wonder how your significant other feels. Hopefully you are luckier than I was.

ive noticed with previous girlfriends that a lot of them just like a guy to sit there and listen to them complain about their day. so i would just sit there and act like i was interested and that would please them and usually resulted in them in a better mood and result with me getting what i wanted.

4. Working out at the gym (kinda goes along with #1)

Hmmm... that is a good attitude to have.... maybe that is why you do'nt have a girlfriend now? It seems to me that girls tend to have an idea when you are actually listening and when you are just trying to get things from them...
Anyways... here is my list that keeps my girlfriend satisfied...

2) Taking her out to a fancy dinner every once in a while

Sounds like we have the same kind of relationship with our girlfriends. Mine is happy that I am so passionate about something, even though she has no idea what I'm talking about when I say something like "Energy Bandwidth Product". All she knows is that she wants a nice system, mostly because she knows I will have fun teaching her how to do it.
Also, she likes the little things I do. When we first were together, I would blow a hundred dollars a week going out to eat, only to find later that she didn't care about that, and just wanted to be with me. Some of the things I do that make her happy are:
1. Full-body massages (without the ***)
2. Bring her food on her lunch hour
3. Bring her some Hershey kisses or something after she has a long day at work
4. Cook her dinner
5. Swing by the movie store and grab her favorite chick flick
