tricking bestbuy...think this will work??

I bought Guitar Hero 3 a few days after Thanksgiving and I now want to return it. Best Buy's policy on open video games is that you can only exchange it for a new one. So im thinking about going to the store and saying that the guitar is messed up (which it kinda is) so I can exchange it for game/guitar package and then trying to return the new one and another Best Buy store.

Do you think thats possible? or will all the stores know that I exchanged it?

I don't see how they would know. You can return an item purchased from any chain location to any other chain location usually. If the policy is exchange only, I don't think going to another location is the answer to your problems.

Its exchange only when the game is open. If its unopened then you can return it.

im sure...my freind stole a game from gamestop out of the used bin one time and took it to walmart and said his brother got it from someone else for his bday...*****ed them out enough that they refunded him with a gift card...he then sold the gift card for 30 bux...lucky bish.

your receipt is going to show that you exchanged the old one for the new one in the first place. if its a good employee they will check the numbers and see if they match up and see that you are trying to scam them.
