I bought Guitar Hero 3 a few days after Thanksgiving and I now want to return it. Best Buy's policy on open video games is that you can only exchange it for a new one. So im thinking about going to the store and saying that the guitar is messed up (which it kinda is) so I can exchange it for game/guitar package and then trying to return the new one and another Best Buy store.
Do you think thats possible? or will all the stores know that I exchanged it?

i think when my friend tried that somewhere else they took his first reciept and gave him a new one which shows that you returned the first one...so then they will know that youve returned one b4...but you never know...

but then he just took the new one to game stop(a different place) and talked a guy into taking it and giving him his money...ha

You can return something to BB without receipt if you give them a driver's license, but you'll only get store credit and you can only do a certain amount of those per year (I think it's 3)

Well best buy here in south bend is stupid. I had a friend that worked there and gave me discounts on stuff. So I sent him off to get me a raptor hard drive. Well he looked at the box and saw it was wrapped a little different then usual. so he took it to an adviser and they opened it together (showing my friend wasn't tapering) and in side was door hinges wrapped in paper towels //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif . He also said they often get re-wrapped office depot cds in expensive program packages. Best buy isn't as bright as you might make them out to be.

Only if you have mouth breathers working the returns desk. When my first 360 acted up, the lady checked the inside for all its contents, including manuals. I then had to provide a telephone number, and provide a receipt. Cheap douchebags like the OP are the reason shit keeps getting more expensive. If you can't afford it, don't ****ing buy it. And if you do, stick to the **** decision.
