Anyone run Treo amps? Im specifically curious about the ssx750.1

Basically, I have a chance to pick a blown one up for about $25 or so. Im wondering if it would be worthwhile to have it fixed to resell, or possibly keep for future use.

For 25 bux I dont see why not. Unless its just to fare gone to fix. Have you taken a look at the internals yet?

Blown mosfets, from what I can see.

Im sure kb or wherever could fix it, just not sure if they are solid amps or what.

I hear they are pretty solid. I am actually about to use one instead of my directed 1500D. I am finding out that they are power hungry at least what I have been told by my local dealer. I have their subs. 2 SSi 12's and I love them.

I came across the ssx1500.1 mentioned in a thread. The poster said it was underrated at 2 ohms (rated at 1500) and would run perfectly fine at .5 ohm, so I think Im gonna pick this up soon.

Great amps. KB should be able to repair it for cheap. Should do at least 1500 at 1 ohm

I believe they are stable at .5 out of the box for the 750.1 and 1500.1 , good amps IMO I wanted a 1500.1 for a long time but when i had cash couldnt find one used.

SSXD750.1 > 375 x 1 @ 4 ohms, 750 x 1 @ 2 ohms, and 1500 x 1 @ 1 ohm, it'll handle a lower load and be alright w/it, but you wont gain much more output and you'll start to tax the amp. $25 blown.....GET IT!, If you don't I will. Well I'd try at least.
