I am thinking about picking one of theses up from this one douche. The guy is kinda a clown //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif but it seems like a pretty good deal.

DO you think for an SPL config 2 15 CSXs would kick the shit out of 2 xxx 15's with only 1600 per driver?

Who is this dousche that you speak of? I bet he's a real buttplug //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Honestly...a CSX with only 1600 isn't much at all...get yourself a modded D2 and run that biatch at .75 ohms and it'll get plenty loud //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Give each about 5kw in a SPL setup...I'd bet the CSX would come out on top...
In a daily application, the XXX blowns the CSX away...
The guys on Termpro say the CSX only shines above 3000w. Less than that and I would go elsewhere.

Many guys on Termpro say a LOT of stupid things which make no sense. That is yet another example. I fail to see how a woofer with only about 19mm of travel is going to improve in linearity by being pushed further. Simply defies the laws of physics, as well as its motor design. It loses linearity with increased volume, it doesn't gain it.

Attributing any sort of gain in clariy to a given wattage level is foolish, as this number is entirely arbitrary, because the excursion of the driver varies with tuning, as does the powerhandling.

With 3kW, in just about any box, you will be significantly exceeding the linear capabilities of the driver, so to insist greater clarity is obtained at such power levels, is in no way, shape, or form accurate.

Those guys on Termpro are SPL nuts; I'm relaying information from another forum onto here. In a purely SPL configuration, all I have heard is that the CSX needs plenty of power to move. I'm not debating the validity of your statement as I have read plenty of your posts on CAF.com. It seems some of the only people who use the CSX extensively are over at Termpro...even if you sometimes have to take their words with a grain of salt. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

my thoughts on CSX vs. XXX. i've heard from people who have used both and myself not using the XXX before can't attest to that one. now the 2 CSX's laughed at 2 c2k 4kw's on it seeing roughly 9000-10000rms on 2 15" in a 24cuft box tuned to 58hz in a Suburban. Xmax is not the only key factor in a 1 note wonder sub such as the CSX or other's that are around. now yes it can be a factor but in the instance of the CSX it has an insane BL which alows it for massive SPL. i've heard from loyd that the CSX is on avg. 1db louder than a 9515 when he did direct comparison. so in my mind, that makes the CSX one hell of a woofer considering the pretige the 9515 carries with her. as stated before, daily the XXX rapes the CSX due to the cooling system and the CSX not being able to handle quick beats. SPL i'd give it to the CSX due to massive power handling and the way it was built.
