if you have a motor attached to a basket and sent it to a company for a recone, can they change the TS parameters on it for u? for instance , say u want ur sub for HT duty and u want the sensitivity/spl higher, by them reconing it, can they lower the Fs (28Hz to 19Hz) for you raise the sensitivity (86.8 to 93.3)?

The Fs can be changed by modifying the mass and/or compliance with the same motor.

The sensitivity can also be changed by modifying the mass and/or compliance with the same motor. Coil changes can also effect the sensitivity by changing BL and/or mass.

So yes, if they have different parts in stock with varying mass and/or compliance that fit your woofer those parameters can be changed.

it is easy to change the parameters of a woofer. like jacob said (not retyping). With the parts available, you can change to whatever you want the sub to be, within reason

Extra compared to a normal re-cone? I suppose that would depend on who you were dealing with and if the specs you want require custom order parts or stock parts.
