i guess i was asking wat the brain does cuz my buddy is selling jvc no wires or anything and i looked on the website and says it comes with a brain... and ya dude iam big noob check my posts

ya know how head units have rca outputs, internal amps, crossovers and all other sorts of little fun stuf inside. Well with a flip out screen that stuff doesnt fit as the screen and disc player take up the majority of the space inside so the brain does all that other stuff with added little things like video switching and aux inputs

if it's anything like my alpine deck or any other deck that has a seperate brain unit, then yea, you need the brain. it's basically the "computer" that controls the seperate headpiece.
