I have always paid either itunes or zune marketplace for my music but its getting rather rediculous on my wallet, so my question is how do you use or download torrents. I was looking at piratebay but do you need anything to play the files and do you need to download any special programs. Only serious answers please. I am not computer savvy besides just reading this forum and few others.

You need a torrent client. I use uTorrent. Basically make it your default torrent client and then click to download the torrent. uTorrent will automatically start up.

uTorrent is the downloader. You'll have to choose a destination to download the file. After it's downloaded, you use your media player to play the music. You can download music, videos, programs etc with torrents.

how are viruses on the torrent and sites and you suggest any. and thanks for the help I have a 20% coupon for damplifier pro for the help if you want it lol.

Well you can't pack an mp3 file with a virus. What I do is only download torrents where people have left positive comments. You can scan the files with a virus scanner before you open them. For music Demonoid works great for me. I don't have any invites though.

I search for files in IsoHunt and then open the files in Azureus Vuze and it downloads the file. Then I open the file and copy it onto my computer.

I just switched from utorrent to vuze and I think I like Vuze better. Either one will be fine. uTorrent has a simpler interface to use.
