Torn between 4 15"s or 2 18"s

I'm about to place my order to CT (that's who i'm going with. No bashing or trying to change my mind, lol), and i'm torn between doing 4 15" Strato's or 2 18" Meso's. I'll be getting their CT3000.1 to push them either way. It's all go into the Avalanche blow thru. Space isn't as much of an issue, however I don't want to completely kill all the space in the bed of the truck, lol.

I had a 2 18" wall and I'm now doing 4 15"s.. So I would do the 4 15s.

I went from a 4 15" woofer wall with DC Level 4 woofers on a 3K To a 2 18" Incriminator Audio Judge wall. I'll be going back to a 4 15" wall as soon as my builder can get to it

4 15" = more surface area.. if your not that concerned about the space that's the way to go.

Why not 3 15" mesos!

The motor force will cover the extra cone area.

Either way that 3000.1 amp wont be enough to push it any of your choices. You need more power.

Sure it would. It's rated at 3k @12v, and has been benched several times at 3500+ @13v. With 2 18" Meso's @ 2K ea that's pleanty. Also, 4 15" Strato's rated at 800rms with 3K is 750w ea. That also is pleanty. I'm not trying to max out the sub, amp, or my electrical for numbers. I reached my goal of 50's years ago. I havent tried to chase numbers since. This will litereally be my daily/demo, nothing more. So that power will be more than enough for either choice.

That's kinda why I'm torn. The Meso 18" is rated (or underrated) @ 2K rms. The Trops 15"s are rated at 800rms ea. I'm thinking they are both (4 15's or 2 18's) are gonna take close to the same space of 12-14 cubes. I figured 6ish per 18" and 3.5ish per 15".

What I have as far as max space to work with is 20"H x 49"W x 48"D.

So 4 15"s in about 16 cubes tuned to 32Hz sound about right?
