Thats the one I plan on gettin... 50.00

I just really need to find out what router I for sure wnat and what bits I need...

I use a Bosch 2 hp plunge router and I'm very happy with it. It'll handle both 1/2" and 1/4" shank bits. I also have that same circle template kit and it's very nice. A good carbide 1/4" spiral bit and you're good to go.

Yes, except it is a bit much for a piece of plastic... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Do you have a better option, or a comparable product for cheaper? I haven't bought it yet and I'll check out yours if ya do..

So you have that same circle cutting guide that I posted? How good does it work? How accurate is it??

I used the dremel a few times and it either broke bits or the stupid adjustable jig would changes sizes part way through and ruin the part you were workin on... same with my Rotozip

i would just use a compass and draw the size circle i needed...then outline it in sharpie...and then cut it out. The one i got works really well...may not be a dremel...just what came to mind...dad got a good 1. Also, **** $50 when my **** compass and sharpie work just as well. Plus, inevitably...u'll need to shave some after cutting to get the sub to fit correctly. peace

Go to a good tool store or WW shop. Woodcraft and Rockler are on the web. Porter cable is the best known brand. Most if not all acc. are designed for thier routers. Other companies use the same baseplate or sell adapters to use PC stuff. Make sure you get a plunge router. Make sure it is atleast 1 3/4 hp. Bigger is better if you will be using large dia. bits. I use a a PC in my WW shop. I'm new at the audio game but have been a WW for years. Craftsman, Black and Decker and a few other well known brands are not very good. One good Plunge router for the money is the Freud FT2000E. I think its 3 1/4hp. Not too much money either. They sell them at Menards too. As far as a circle cutting jig, look at http://www.woodcraft.com they sell everything woodworking. You may have a store local to you too. You may want to check out Ebay too. lots of good router for sale on there!

Hope this helps.

go with porter cable or bosch. can drop either of them from a 2-story building and the magnesium base will hold up just fine. i sell porter cable at work. use freud bits.
