took my si mag out of my box today......

what and how is this happening? and what can i do about it?

it was in a sealed enclosure....and its going into a ported on in the future.

after 2 weeks of bumping the thing.....from brand new...

its kinda worrying me.

yea, cut it off, its not doing anything just hanging off there

I would just leave it alone, not touch it, put it into the next, and let it wang.

Can't really say. Assuming you leave everything else the same and change the box, then you will have more excursion; and if tinsel slap is a problem for you, then you can potentially break the leads eventually.

However, those don't look bad at all. Remove the extra strand sticking out.

idk if you guys can see it but the part that is broken off is burnt....

and...

there is small (tiny) spots on the spider were the threads have been hitting....

i hope this does not become a big problem for me in the future...

and if they do snap...is there anyway to get new one fixed for really cheap? with a plastic jacket maybe?

Them little tabs there IIRC can be bent to stop them from slapping.
