hey fellas, I got a soundsteam picasso 3500D, was going to run two of the 2ohm IDMax's at 2 ohm which would give each IDMax 1250 watts each. Is that going to be too much wattage for them to handle?

I can always get the 4 ohm versions when I buy them and run the amp at 4 ohms which would give them 900 watts each. Which would be a better option for me?

900 each would be safer imo, remember the Max's only have a 2" coil. are you set on the IDmax because there may be some better options to make use of the power?
X2, id max's are good subs but cant take very much abuse,if u looking to have a throw down system, there not the sub to go with, but they sound good at there rated power.

yeah Im pretty much set on the IDMax's guys. Not looking to win any SPL contests, just want something thats nice, good sound quality, and thumps pretty hard. I have MB Quart QSD's as my soundstage, so I just wanted something to sound nice with them. Im not very abusive with my speakers, keep em down most of the time and will def keep the gain at probably half or less than half even. Any more thoughts?

Thanks for the advice

alright, thats good to know. I just wanted to be careful with them, Ive always heard they were very efficient and werent the best subs to overpower so I just wanted to make sure.

Last, I have so many components in the car that I need some help with the remote turn on. I have a audiocontrol matrix line driver, a audiocontrol dqxs and soon to be 3 amps in there. Thats wayyy too much stuff to split 1 remote turn on signal 5 different ways. Is there any other source besides the headunit that I can get a remote signal to power a couple things up? I was thinking about one of the fuse blocks, but then I was thinking if I did that then the amp wouldnt turn off? Any suggestions other than running from the headunit?
