Hey Fellas,
My first post here, so be kind.
After taking what felt like 20 years away from car audio, I've bought myself a little mid life crisis toy (Mini Cooper S) that I've been playing with.
The factory Harmon Kardon amp was toast which gave me a reason to overhaul the audio. I kept the head unit as I like the integration it give me, so I went ahead and got an LC2i to convert over the signal. For the front of the car I went with Alpine SPS 6.5 Components and 6x9 Rear Fills powered by an Alpine PDX-4.100.
For the rear I was running a Pioneer Champion Series Dual Voice Coil 10" with a Pioneer 500RMS Amp. I've recently laid my hands on an Alpine SWR-1222D 12" Type R Sub setup for 4 ohms and an Alpine PDX-1.1000 amp.
So the million dollar question; is the Amp going to kill the Type R? I'd be setting everything up with an O Scope to eliminate clipping etc, and I don't generally roll the volume over (I'm in my 40s).
Thoughts?
Thanks
