Too good to be true? Seems legit..

A guy basically wants to trade this Sundown Z 18 inch woofer of sorts, for my Audioque HDC3 Aluminum coil 18.

Do I trade?

Is this too good to be true? I always hear people talk really good about this woofer. The only problem is that its going to **** fitting 7 cubes in my jetta... last time I did that all of the sound pretty much went into my trunk.

id do the trade if everything was working great on the z..also why 7 cubes? thats way to big for one 18

Thats what he was telling me it needed, he took it to a shop and they told him it needed to be that at minimum.

They'll do just fine in 6 cubes, you can run em as low as like 5 or 5.5 and then invert or something

The guy said something about having an upgraded coil, surround, dustcap & spider..

So i'm not sure if that would go with those typical box specs. Then again i'm not a box master of sorts. Its good to know that it could be used in a smaller enclosure though!

Apparently he has a 4 inch coil, and the spider is upgraded to be an inch bigger..

Sundownz is this legit? he said there was very few made..

Definitely is not a 4" coil on there.

It has the updated 9.25" spider on it and the newer Z v.3 style ventilation ring -- so it had to have been made recently.

As for the coil it is a 3" unit -- could be copper or aluminum (most likely copper - which is better for daily).
