Ok this is becoming insane with the gas prices!!! Someone (aka the government) needs to place a freaking cap to keep the oil/gas companies prices at a fair rate. We are in a depression and they keep charging more and more while more and more of our hard working Americans are out of work. How do they expect them to afford gas to look for a job ( I know everything is digital it's a point) but let's keep the little man down, he just pays your salary and pays for that company jet that's all. Just had to get that off my chest, it's just driving me up the wall.

You know it's cuz of Libya right? Wanting to "demonstrate their power" by blowing up some of their refineries?

That sounds like a great idea. Let's destroy our greatest source of income to make a point. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

Unrest in middle east / declining and/or uncertain supply = higher oil prices = higher gas prices

Not as simple as the oil companies just deciding to charge more -- we have an open oil trading market and the price is decided by the market and the oil cartels for the most part. If the market sees uncertainty pricing goes up -- half the middle east is going nuts right now.

Food is going up dramatically too in almost every country but the USA - we should be thankful for that at least.

In the mean-time I am glad I bought a CRX with no payments and 30+ MPG

There is more oil than we know what to do with offshore and in Alaska. International financiers and their oil cartels keep the really big deposits surpressed to help create false scarcity (do some research on how Debeers keeps a percieved high value of diamonds). A few former insiders have been talking about this for years. "instability in the middle east" is all hocus-pocus. As we saw in the gulf recently half the technology in drilling a well is keeping the **** bottled up there's so much of it under so much preasure.

Also US Dollar is going the way of the Zimbabwe dollar and IMHO it's amazing it still has the purchasing power it does.

If gas prices were to hit 10$ a gallon major cities here would look like Egypt.

jumped to 3.22 gal here late last night, my 82 chevy with 8" lift and 454 motor loves it and im hating it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
